Therapy for Neurodivergent Adults in Tennessee & Online

Neurodiversity-affirming, IFS-informed therapy for autistic adults, ADHD adults, highly sensitive adults, and those healing from burnout, masking, trauma, and a lifetime of feeling different.

Available in person in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and virtually throughout the state.

You May Have Spent Years Feeling Different Without Fully Understanding Why

Many of the people I work with come to therapy carrying something they've never quite been able to name.

They are often:

  • Emotionally overwhelmed and chronically exhausted

  • Highly sensitive to stress, emotions, relationships, or their environment

  • Feeling "too much" or "not enough" depending on the room

  • Disconnected from themselves after years of adapting and performing

  • Wondering why life seems so much harder than it appears to be for others

Some are exploring autism or ADHD for the first time. Some are recovering from years of masking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or relational trauma. Some have a diagnosis and are still trying to figure out what it means for their life.

Wherever you are in that process, therapy offers a space to better understand your nervous system, your inner world, and the patterns that developed to help you survive - and to gently start building something that actually fits.

Neurodivergent-Affirming
IFS Therapy

I don't view autism, ADHD, or sensitivity as problems to fix.

My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, trauma-informed care, and a deep respect for the neurodivergent experience. That means we go beneath the surface, not just managing symptoms, but understanding the parts of you that developed those patterns, and giving them something different.

This approach is especially supportive for adults who are done with coping strategies that don't hold, who want to understand themselves rather than just function better, and who are ready for something that actually goes somewhere.

Areas of Focus

Autism Therapy for Adults

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy for autistic adults, including those who are late-identified, self-identifying, high-masking, or still questioning.

Many autistic adults spent years feeling profoundly different without ever having language for it. Therapy can be a space to explore what autism means for your life, begin unmasking safely, and understand yourself through a lens that finally fits.

Common therapy focuses include:

  • Autistic burnout and recovery

  • Masking and unmasking

  • Identity exploration after late diagnosis

  • Sensory overwhelm and nervous system regulation

  • Relationships, communication, and feeling chronically misunderstood

  • Self-understanding and self-compassion through IFS

Trauma Therapy for Neurodivergent Adults

For many neurodivergent adults, trauma didn't come from a single overwhelming event. It came from a lifetime of chronic stress, misattunement, invalidation, and the relentless effort of trying to survive in a world not built for your brain.

That kind of trauma is real - and it deserves care that understands its roots.

Using IFS, we explore the parts of you that developed to protect you, hold pain, or keep everything running. The goal is not to push through or manage better. It's to understand what happened, create safety inside, and begin to put down what you've been carrying.

Therapy may support:

  • Nervous system regulation and felt safety

  • Emotional healing and processing

  • Relational patterns and attachment wounds

  • Shame, self-criticism, and inner protection

  • Reconnecting with self-trust and authentic identity

ADHD Therapy for Adults

Therapy for adults navigating ADHD, executive functioning struggles, emotional dysregulation, chronic overwhelm, and burnout, including those who were missed or misidentified earlier in life.

ADHD in adults often doesn't look like the stereotype. It looks like exhaustion from trying to keep up, emotional intensity that feels hard to explain, and a persistent gap between your potential and your output that others mistake for a character flaw.

Therapy can support:

  • Emotional regulation and self-compassion

  • Understanding ADHD traits, needs, and patterns

  • Burnout recovery and nervous system balance

  • Reducing internal shame and self-criticism

  • Building a life that works with your brain, not against it

Therapy for

Highly Sensitive Adults

Sensitivity is not a flaw. But in a world that rarely accommodates it, being a highly sensitive person can feel like one.

Many highly sensitive adults experience deep emotional processing, sensory overwhelm, empathy that leaves them depleted, and a need for recovery time that others don't seem to require. Some identify with the HSP framework specifically. Many find that sensitivity and neurodivergence overlap in their experience.

Therapy offers a space to understand sensitivity as a trait rather than a problem, and to build a life that accounts for how deeply you feel and process the world.

Therapy for High-Masking & Late-Identified Adults

One of the most common experiences my clients share is this: appearing capable and fine on the outside while quietly struggling with overwhelm, shutdown, or exhaustion on the inside.

If you are high-masking, late-identified, or somewhere in the middle of figuring out whether autism or ADHD fits your experience - this work is specifically designed for you. You don't need a diagnosis to begin. You don't need to have it figured out. You just need to be tired enough of doing it alone.
